How are coil bolts manufactured?
Coil bolts are created with the help of a machine called coiler. The head of
the bolt is composed of metal and the threaded portion is made from steel wire.
The coiling process starts by cutting an uncoiled wire into short pieces,
which are then fed into the gap between two rotors. One rotor is stationary
while the other rotates to pull the wire tighter and tighter until it coils
into a ring. After that, it is heated to harden it and then cut off at regular
intervals. The coil bolts are now ready for packaging before they are shipped
out to stores.
Coil bolts are manufactured by using machinery like coiler machine, which has two rotors rotating against each other in opposite directions to create a thread on both ends.
