A term that generally refers to the bolt fitted in the leaf-spring assembly.

Center bolts is the most important part in a leaf spring assembly. At the center of each leaf is a hole. The center bolt head connects to the axle, which gives the truck its rear suspension in combination with the leaf springs.

Leaf spring is made up of number of spring steel leaves stacked one by one on top of each other and bolted together. It is attached to the rear axle and chassis of a heavy duty vehicle such as SUV, truck, van hence preventing the axle from snapping in from the jerks and shocks any vehicle may encounter.

Since this bolt has to withstand jerk loads it undergoes lot of tensile load. We ensure that these bolts are made of high quality alloy steel followed by proper heat treatment procedure so that the final product can withstand high tensile load at the same time not being too brittle. How are coil bolts manufactured?

Coil bolts are created with the help of a machine called coiler. The head of the bolt is composed of metal and the threaded portion is made from steel wire. The coiling process starts by cutting an uncoiled wire into short pieces, which are then fed into the gap between two rotors. One rotor is stationary while the other rotates to pull the wire tighter and tighter until it coils into a ring. After that, it is heated to harden it and then cut off at regular intervals.
